Ukrainian president to dismiss several regional administration heads soon
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced in an evening address that he plans to dismiss several heads of regional administrations in the near future.
On his Telegram channel, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he expects reports on certain local administration heads who should be replaced, noting that the relevant documents are expected to be submitted to him the following week, Caliber.Az reports.
Ukraine’s anti‑corruption institutions recently expanded investigations into alleged graft involving senior officials, leading to the resignation of President Zelenskyy’s powerful chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, after anti‑corruption agents raided his residence and office.
This marked one of the most serious internal political crises Kyiv has faced amid war and Western pressure to fight corruption.
Yermak was seen as a key power broker and principal negotiator in peace talks; his departure reflects growing scrutiny and political strain within the government as Kyiv tries to balance war leadership with domestic integrity reforms.
