Ukrenergo: Scale of damage to Ukraine’s energy infrastructure unprecedented
Head of the board of Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytsky has said that attacks on the infrastructure of Ukraine, in theory, can lead to a total blackout, but in practice this probability is quite low.
“Theoretically, it can threaten, in practice, I don’t see such a danger now,” he said on the air of the telethon, assessing the likelihood of a total blackout, according to West Observer.
Kudritsky added that, in his opinion, the country has already overcome “the worst with missile attacks”.
He also opined that the dynamics and effect of the attacks indicate that “the Russians have less and less ability.”
The representative of Ukrenergo stressed that power engineers have adapted to possible attacks.
He also suggested that the attacking potential will run out more and more.
At the same time, during the telethon, Kudrytsky called the level of damage to Ukraine’s energy infrastructure unprecedented.
He added that most of the facilities of the country’s system have been damaged or destroyed.
