US, France convinced of Armenia’s hopelessness Kazakh political analyst’s opinion on Caliber.Az
Armenia’s current position in the negotiation process is idle chatter. By making useless statements for journalists, Armenia is greatly slowing down positive processes in the region, in particular, the signing of a peace treaty with Azerbaijan.
Of course, Yerevan will not abandon its long-term and completely failed tactics, namely, imposing its interests on the other side, rather than seeking compromises. Armenia continues applying this approach despite its plans and ambitions ruined in September. However, Armenia does not draw a lesson from this situation, so Yerevan’s behavior still resembles the actions of a wayward sociopath, confident that in the end, everything will be the way he wants. A striking example of this approach was Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan’s another absurd statement.
“Having received Karabakh without Armenians, Azerbaijan intends to seize the Armenian sovereign territory,” Mirzoyan said at the OSCE Ministerial Council in Skopje.
Willy-nilly, some questions arise. How long will the delusional attitude of the Armenians last? Will they act well? Will Baku have to wait for their sobering until the moment when Armenia finally becomes financially and politically bankrupt?
Kazakh political analyst and economist Ruslan Salikhov expressed his opinion on this issue and noted that the Armenian political elite’s complete abstraction from reality is absurd. In a conversation with Caliber.Az, he noted that this would cost it much.
“Presently, Armenia is simply testing the patience of several superpowers, including those that are on the list of its patrons. Armenians do not even notice that these countries are simply testing the Armenian political system for adequacy and see that the more the West renders moral support to Armenia, the more Yerevan makes statements and claims against Azerbaijan and other regional countries. However, time is passing,” Salikhov said.
“The whole point is that the actions of the country, which is under the constant control of the worldwide Armenian diaspora, run counter to the real situation. In fact, we see that politicians in Yerevan tell the journalists what the heads of the Armenian diaspora are telling them, hypnotizing their will and sober analysis of the situation. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is also under their influence. His speeches and statements are based on the diaspora’s opinions and his own thoughts. That’s why Yerevan’s actions and statements, especially Pashinyan’s statements, are ridiculous. Pashinyan voices the opinion of the Armenian diaspora in the US, even if yesterday he expressed a different point of view,” the political analyst noted.
Salikhov added that Washington and Paris will stop speaking to Armenia politely and use a dictatorial tone very soon.
“Today we see that Armenia is under the control of external forces, namely, Washington and Paris. As Armenia refuses Moscow’s patronage, security guarantees, and non-interference in its internal affairs, Yerevan becomes a prey for the West. If Armenia was able to think, then it would make efforts to establish a dialogue with Azerbaijan on problematic issues, in particular, to launch the Zangezur corridor through its territory to finally get out of long isolation and avoid the risk of becoming a bankrupt country, then Yerevan would be of interest to the West at least for its economic prospects. However, Armenia deliberately refuses these opportunities,” the political analyst said.
“Therefore, I think that very soon new military units from Western countries will appear on the territory of this country under the guise of another mission. Then Armenian politicians will begin to receive instructions and directives that will cause great concern among the Armenian public representatives as they will contradict the interests of the Armenian society and the Armenians worldwide. However, the US and France are unlikely to be interested in this process. The presence of Western military personnel in the country will become an element of psychological pressure on the government led by Pashinyan, and, perhaps, the initiator of his ousting,” Salikhov said.
The analyst stressed that having realized that Armenia is hopeless and its political chauvinism is ineradicable, Washington and Paris will begin to demolish its political structure and simply turn the country into a convenient tool in their political game, that is, from a political subject it will turn into an object of governance.
He noted that Washington and Paris assessed Yerevan’s adequacy at the presentation of the fake “Crossroads of Peace” project, created by Pashinyan’s team to counter the concept of the Zangezur corridor, which testified that the goal of the modern Armenian political elite is not the economic and political development of its country, but the use of both its resources and the resources of its sponsors to meet their goals.
“The presentation of this project, without any economic logic, showed that the current leadership of Armenia, as well as the Armenian diaspora, are only capable of political clowning,” Salikhov added.
