US–Iran clash could spark worldwide shortages, Serbia’s Vučić warns
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has issued a stark warning that key industrial sectors around the world could face a serious crisis.
Speaking on the potential consequences of the ongoing US–Iran conflict, Vučić said that shortages could emerge not only in oil but also in plastic, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
He cautioned that this could lead to job losses in critical industrial sectors and disrupt supply chains in the automotive industry and other areas. Vučić also emphasized that Serbia’s economy would inevitably feel the ripple effects of such disruptions.
Despite these concerns, Vučić expressed hope that Serbia would manage to avoid a halt in agricultural exports. He reassured the public that the domestic market remains well-supplied, with sufficient stocks of bread, milk, salt, sugar, honey, meat, fish, and other essential goods.
