US president dismisses Russia's success in war with Ukraine
US President Joe Biden has firmly condemned a military training facility and a hospital in Ukraine that killed over 50 people and injured dozens more.
“This assault is a tragic reminder of Putin’s ongoing and outrageous attempts to break the will of a free people. But for two and a half years, the people of Ukraine have stood unbowed,” Biden noted, Caliber.Az reports, citing the White House press service.
According to him, the United States will continue to stand with Ukraine—including providing the air defense systems and capabilities they need to protect their country.
“Make no mistake: Russia will not prevail in this war. The people of Ukraine will prevail. And on this tragic day, and every day, the United States stands with them,” Biden said.
Notably, a devastating Russian missile strike targeted a military training facility and a nearby hospital in Poltava, Ukraine on September 3.
The attack resulted in at least 50 deaths and over 200 injuries, marking one of the deadliest Russian assaults since the conflict began. The missiles struck the Poltava Military Institute of Communications, causing significant damage and leaving many trapped under rubble.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for a thorough investigation into the incident. The area remains heavily damaged, with visible destruction and bloodstains evident outside the facility.
