US says Iranian drone, missile attacks on Kuwait unsuccessful
The United States said late on June 2 that Iranian drone and missile attacks targeting U.S. military installations in Kuwait were unsuccessful, with American and partner air defence systems intercepting incoming threats and preventing any casualties or damage.
In a statement, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said an additional wave of Iranian drones aimed at U.S. forces in Kuwait failed to reach their intended targets. According to the command, multiple drones were shot down by U.S. air defences, and no American personnel or military assets were harmed, Caliber.Az reports.

The announcement followed earlier reports from CENTCOM that U.S. and Bahraini forces had intercepted missiles launched toward Bahrain.
CENTCOM further accused Iran of attempting attacks against commercial maritime traffic in the region, saying those efforts were also unsuccessful.
Earlier, the U.S. military confirmed it had carried out what it described as “self-defence” strikes on Iran’s Qeshm Island.
