US VP claims Iran’s operation unlike Iraq, Afghanistan campaigns
US Vice President JD Vance said the current American military operation against Iran is fundamentally different from the campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan.
In an interview with Fox News, Vance emphasised that the President would not rest until he achieved the crucial objective of ensuring that Iran is unable to obtain a nuclear weapon, not merely for the next few years or as a result of temporary destruction or other measures.
"He wanted to make sure that Iran could never have a nuclear weapon, and that would require fundamentally a change in mindset from the Iranian regime," he noted.
The Vice President stressed that the US destroyed Iran's ability to build a nuclear weapon during President Trump's term.
“There's just no way that Donald Trump is going to allow this country to get into a multiyear conflict with no clear end in sight and no clear objective," Vance added, stressing that the administration favours "a friendly regime in Iran, a stable country, a country that's willing to work with the United States."
