German chancellor to travel to Paris

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will travel to Paris for a multinational conference focusing on efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz opn April 17, his office said.
The meeting has been co-organised by French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and aims to help ease strains on shipping through the pivotal maritime thoroughfare, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
Additionally, the office of Norway’s prime minister, Jonas Gahr Støre, said he was expected to attend virtually, and other leaders were looking into how they would participate.
