Vucic says Serbia to remain military neutral
Serbia intends to maintain military neutrality and develop the country's defence industry, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said.
According to Prime, on Saturday, a ceremony was held in front of the Serbian Parliament building to award the ranks of lieutenant cadets of the Military Academy and the Faculty of Medicine of the Military Medical Academy. The president presented engraved pistols to the best young officers, then addressed the parade cadets and the gathered relatives and friends.
"Serbia has decided to stick to the path of military neutrality and is doing so in a measured and firm way. it is measured because we do not threaten anyone and it is not our business to challenge any country or cause fear for anyone's stability. It is firm because we care about every person who is ready to wear the uniform or contribute in any other way to the security of Serbia," the Serbian leader said.
He has also emphasized that he intends to develop and strengthen the defence industry, increase its capacities, and expand the range of products.
The Serbian head of state also stressed that official Belgrade would not give up "an inch of its land in Kosovo and Metohija."
