Zelenskyy urges faster defence aid amid relentless Russian strikes Over 1,600 drones, 1,200 bombs hit Ukraine this week
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the country’s emergency services are working almost every day and night to eliminate the consequences of Russian strikes on peaceful cities and settlements.
In a post on his Telegram channel, Zelesnkyy said Russia has carried out more than 1,600 drone attacks on Ukraine this week alone, along with around 1,200 guided aerial bombs and nearly 70 missiles of various types. The main targets of these strikes are infrastructure facilities that ensure the normal daily life of civilians, Caliber.Az reports.
New attacks were also recorded today: more than 240 drones and five ballistic missiles, with damage reported in seven regions. There are casualties in Sloviansk and the Chernihiv region. The president expressed his condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed.
“We continue working with our partners so that, in response to these attacks, our defence becomes stronger. The priority is clear — more air defence systems and missiles, more support for our defenders. Every agreement must be implemented faster,” Zelenskyy said, thanking everyone working to support Ukraine.
