Zelenskyy: We would be glad to see Azerbaijan as part of Peace Formula
We would be glad to see Azerbaijan's participation in the Peace Formula, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said at a press conference in Kyiv in response to a question from the Report's journalist.
"Azerbaijan supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine. Azerbaijan is an advocate of sovereign rights and peace.
On the other hand, of course, we would like to see Azerbaijan's participation in the Peace Formula, if possible," he said.
Speaking at the conference, Zelenskyy also revealed the losses of Ukrainian troops since February 2022, saying that they amounted to 31,000 people.
He added that he was not able to specify the losses in terms of wounded and missing.
The Ukrainian authorities try not to publish data on the losses of their armed forces. Simultaneously, Western mass media voiced versions that the losses could reach hundreds of thousands. In particular, retired colonel Douglas McGregor, a former adviser to the defence minister in the administration of former US president Donald Trump, said in an interview with the Jeremy Ryan Slate YouTube channel that the AFU's losses were at least 300,000 to 350,000 dead.
