Azerbaijan offers condolences to US over deadly Texas floods
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has expressed its condolences to the United States following the loss of life caused by severe flooding in the state of Texas.
“We are deeply saddened by many deaths and injuries as a result of flash floods that hit central Texas, United States,” the Foreign Ministry wrote on X, extending heartfelt condolences to the US Government and all those affected by the tragedy, Caliber.Az reports.
The Ministry added: “We mourn the loss of lives and extend our thoughts to those facing hardship.”
In conclusion, the Ministry expressed hope for the US’s soonest recovery from the Texas floods.
The catastrophic flash floods that struck central Texas, particularly the Texas Hill Country, on July 4–5, represent one of the deadliest flooding events in the state’s recent history. Triggered by torrential rainfall, the floods caused widespread devastation, claiming at least 51 lives, including 15 children, and leaving dozens missing, with significant impacts on communities and summer camps along the Guadalupe River.
