British PM vows to maintain military aid to Ukraine
28 November 2022 09:35
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak plans to promise to maintain or increase military aid to Ukraine next year.
Sunak indicated no change in the policy pursued by Johnson and Truss in Ukraine, Reuters reports, citing an excerpt from the first big foreign policy speech of Sunak, which he plans to deliver on November 28.
"We will stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes. We will maintain or increase our military aid next year. And we will provide new support for air defence," he said.
In September, the UK said it was Ukraine's second largest military donor after the US, having provided 2.3 billion pounds ($2.8 billion) in aid this year.
