Bus carrying 60 Ukrainians collides with minibus in Romania; one dead PHOTO
On the morning of June 30, a serious road accident occurred on the DN2 highway in Bacău County, northeastern Romania, involving a bus carrying 60 Ukrainian passengers and a Romanian minibus.
The crash resulted in one fatality and several injuries, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
The bus, transporting 60 Ukrainians—including 21 children—collided with a minibus that was reportedly parked on the roadside at the time of the incident. According to preliminary reports, the bus struck the stationary minibus.
Authorities confirmed that a 29-year-old Romanian woman who was inside the minibus died at the scene. Four other occupants of the minibus sustained serious injuries and were hospitalised. Additionally, one passenger from the bus was hospitalised, while six others, including two children, received medical treatment at the accident site.
The bus driver, aged 40, is not a Romanian citizen. Police reports indicate that he tested negative for alcohol consumption.
