Japan to build constellation of 50 military satellites
WORLD 28 November 2022 - 12:31
Japan will build a constellation of 50 military satellites.
The satellites, divided into two types - optical and SAR (radar synthesis aperture), will be launched in 2024, the Yomiuri newspaper reports.
The optical ones will be able to take high-quality photos and videos of the Earth's surface in good weather during the daytime, while the second will take radar images.
The creation of a constellation of satellites will make it possible to track military objects and the movement of equipment in real-time from a low altitude.
