Grandmaster Mammadyarov finishes third in Indian Blitz tournament

Azerbaijan's chess grandmaster wins third place at the Tata Steel Chess India Blitz 2022 tournament, which finished on December 4 in the city of Kolkata.
As Caliber.Az reported earlier, the grandmaster entered the last day ranking second-best with 6 points. On December 4 all participants played against all other participants twice in a blitz game, which resulted in Mammadyarov gaining another 3.5 points, finishing with 9.5 points as number three in the tournament. India's Arjun Erigaisi won the tournament with 12.5 points with American Hikaru Nakamura finishing second with 11.5 points, according to Azerisport.com.
