Some 46 Azerbaijanis killed in mine blasts since November 2020

Some 46 people have been killed and 233 injured in explosions of mines and munitions in liberated lands since November 2020.

Azerbaijani Prosecutor-General Kamran Mammadov made the remarks at a collegial session, Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of the Prosecutor-General's Office.

An expanded board dedicated to the results of 2022 and upcoming tasks are being held at the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan.

Seventeen murder cases unsolved in previous years were solved. The investigation on 14 of them has already been completed, they have been sent to the courts for consideration and the investigation on three others continues.

In general, since May 1, 2020, 27 premeditated murders have been solved that were not solved in previous years, court decisions have already been made on 15 of them, and trials are continuing for the rest.

Some 212 criminal cases were initiated in connection with environmental violations and the execution of 124 cases of administrative offences was initiated, and a submission was sent to 22 officials.

In general, since May 1, 2020, 27 premeditated murders that had not been solved in previous years have been solved; court decisions have already been made on 15 of them, and trials are still ongoing for the remaining.

Compensation for environmental damage in the amount of 486,621 manats [$286,257] has been provided to the state budget. In addition, instead of cutting trees, new seedlings worth 493,000 manats [$290,009] were planted.
