Syria thanks countries for help after earthquake

Syrian Local Administration and Environment Minister Hussein Makhlouf has said that Syria expresses its gratitude to a number of countries that rendered assistance to the Syrian people after the earthquake.

Makhlouf made the remarks at a press conference in Damascus, according to TASS.

“We express gratitude to the countries that have supported the Syrian people, including Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Russia, Algeria, Egypt, Pakistan, Oman, Cuba, Venezuela and Belarus,” the minister said.
