The launch of the "Khanoba" border checkpoint will increase the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia.
Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev made the remarks on March 17 at the opening ceremony of the renovated customs checkpoint on the border between Azerbaijan and Russia, Trend reports.
According to him, the facility's commissioning will allow the passing of up to 300 trucks and 1,000 cars per day.
“Today we see an increase in trade with the Russian side and work to expand transport projects between Azerbaijan and Russia is very important. We are ready to continue to interact with Russia,” Mustafayev added.
On March 17, the official ceremony of commissioning the customs post "Khanoba" after reconstruction. It is expected that the commissioning of the customs post "Khanoba" will allow the passage of an additional thousand trucks per day.
