Azerbaijan, Ukraine discuss agricultural cooperation
Azerbaijan and Ukraine have discussed promising areas for cooperation in agriculture and the agro-industrial sector, as part of a meeting between Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev and Azerbaijan's Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov.
Yuriy Husyev said in a post on Facebook that agricultural cooperation has gained particular importance amid global challenges related to food security, Caliber.Az reports.
According to him, the meeting focused on promising areas for cooperation between Ukraine and Azerbaijan in agriculture and the agro-industrial complex.
The sides also discussed the implementation of specific joint projects, expansion of investment cooperation, experience-sharing and the introduction of modern technologies.
"Ukraine and Azerbaijan have significant potential for further deepening their partnership - from trade and investment to joint production and innovative projects," Husyev wrote.
He expressed confidence that expanding cooperation in agriculture would help strengthen the economic stability and food security of both countries.
