Zelenskyy visits Kherson - meets with locals, pledges reconstruction
On March 23, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Kherson region, talked with residents and promised to gradually restore everything that the Russian forces destroyed.
Zelensky announced his visit on Telegram, furthermore, his office confirmed the trip, Ukrainska Pravda reports.
"A working trip to the Kherson region. The village of Posad-Pokrovskoye, where many houses and social infrastructure facilities were damaged as a result of full-scale Russian aggression," Zelenskyy wrote.
"Talked to local residents about current issues and needs. We will restore everything, we will rebuild everything. Just like every city and village that suffered from the occupiers."
It is reported that electricity and water supply are being restored in Posad-Pokrovsky, a medical outpatient clinic is being rebuilt, and people are already returning to the village.
Zelenskyy said that Kyiv would try to complete the main work before winter. The priority was the return of electricity to residents. And drinking water will be given according to the schedule.
