PM sees Romania as Moldova's "lawyer" in EU

Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean has described Romania as "Moldova's lawyer" in all European institutions.

He made such a statement at a meeting with his Romanian counterpart Nicolae Ciuca, the Moldovan TV channel TV8 reports.

"Thanks to the support of Romania and the EU member states, we managed to survive the winter well. We are not alone. We are part of a family of friends that we can always count on. Romania is our lawyer in all European institutions," he said.

During the meeting, the prime ministers discussed the expansion of economic relations between the states, as well as the implementation of the national program for the study of the Romanian language by ethnic minorities of Moldova.
