China allows foreign tourist groups to enter the country

The Chinese authorities have allowed foreign tourists to enter the country as part of tourist groups, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China reports on social networks.

"As part of social development and promotion of tourism exchanges, from March 31, 2023, Chinese travel agencies and online travel service providers will resume organizing inbound group tours for foreigners from abroad and providing 'air tickets plus hotel' services," the statement said, Interfax reports.

As noted in the ministry, travel agencies are required to strictly comply with the norms of group tourism management and improve the quality of inbound tourism services.
