Kyrgyzstan exposes international channel for sale of counterfeit Schengen visas

An international channel for making and selling fake Schengen visas has been exposed in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the State National Security Committee of the country said on June 1.

"The cross-border criminal group was involved in smuggling foreign nationals to Western European countries through the territory of Kyrgyzstan under the guise of tourists," the report said, according to Interfax.

The main suspects have been identified in the criminal case, the investigation has exposed more than 40 foreign nationals who suffered from the actions of the organizers of the channel.

"At present, other episodes of illegal activities of the group involved in the production and sale of counterfeit documents are being established," the special service said.
