Arab tribes continue to fight against PKK/YPG militants in Syria
WORLD 25 September 2023 - 17:15
Arab tribes launched a new operation against the terrorist organization PKK/YPG in the east of Deir ez-Zor province in Syria on September 25 morning.
According to information received from local sources, in the province of Deir ez-Zor in eastern Syria, after a two-week break, clashes between Arab tribes and PKK/YPG terrorists began again, Anadolu reports.
Violent clashes occur in the villages of Ziyben, Tayane and Muhammediye.
The PKK/YPG, which sent a large number of terrorists to the area of clashes, imposed a curfew in the villages of Sabha, Ebrehiye, Busayriye, Shahil, Bagoz and Ziyban, where Arab tribes live compactly, in order to prevent the spread of the operation to other regions. Intense clashes in these villages began 2 weeks ago.
During operations carried out from August 27 to September 13 in the provinces of Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa and Hasakah, as well as in the Munbij area in Aleppo province, Arab tribes cleared a total of 33 villages of terrorists.
However, the Arabs then left these villages in order to prevent civilian casualties as a result of retaliatory attacks by terrorist organizations, and sat down at the negotiating table with the United States.
