2025 World’s Best Cities report reveals top global destinations Based on Livability, Lovability, Prosperity
In its article, CNN unveils that the 2025 World’s Best Cities report, compiled by Resonance and Ipsos, ranks over 270 cities globally based on their livability, lovability, and prosperity.
In addition to other data, the report includes a survey of 22,000 people across 30 countries.
London has claimed the title of the best city in the world in the latest ranking of over 270 major cities. But we’re focusing specifically on the "lovability" aspect, which measures a city’s vibrancy in terms of culture, attractions, nightlife, dining, and international reputation.
The top 10 "most lovable" cities are a collection of must-visit global hotspots, with six of them located in Western Europe.
Leading the pack is London, which also tops the lovability rankings thanks to its iconic museums and vibrant nightlife. It’s followed by Paris, praised for its shopping and sightseeing opportunities.
New York ranks third for its unique cultural offerings, including Broadway and world-class dining.
Tokyo is fourth, celebrated for its excellent restaurants and shopping, while Rome takes the fifth spot, with its rich history visible at every turn.
Barcelona, in sixth place, boasts sunshine, beaches, stunning architecture, and lively nightlife, while Madrid, ranked seventh, is making significant investments in its parks and outdoor spaces.
Dubai comes in eighth, firmly established as a global playground, and Berlin secures the ninth spot for its distinctive, edgy charm.
Rounding out the top 10 is Singapore, admired for its vibrant food scene, diverse shopping options, and exceptional urban planning.
Traveling to Greenland has become more convenient with the launch of a new international airport in the capital, Nuuk. Starting in June, United Airlines will offer direct seasonal flights from Newark, New Jersey, to Nuuk, with a flight time of just over four hours.
