India confirms export of self-propelled howitzers to Armenia

Bharat Forge (a leading Indian manufacturer of artillery systems) has confirmed that its recently demonstrated MArG 155-wheeled self-propelled howitzers are intended for Armenia.

It is noted that the deal with Armenia was concluded as part of the development of a strategic partnership between the two countries, the Indian portal Idrw reports.

At the same time, as the publication says, India is becoming a key supplier of defence equipment to Armenia.

According to the publication, the MArG 155mm is a modern artillery system that embodies power, accuracy and mobility.

Equipped with a 155 mm 39 calibre gun and a 4x4 wheeled chassis, it provides exceptional manoeuvrability on any terrain. The ability to climb slopes up to 30° and the ability to "shoot and run" make it a versatile and formidable weapon.
