Kremlin says Moscow–Washington thaw progressing “neither fast nor slow"
The normalisation of relations between Moscow and Washington has slowed down, with the process proceeding “neither fast nor slow,” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said.
When asked by TASS about the Kremlin’s assessment of progress in thawing relations and whether difficulties in resolving the Ukrainian conflict have contributed to the slowdown, Peskov confirmed that the process is indeed experiencing a deceleration, Caliber.Az reports.
Earlier, the US president expressed disappointment with Russia and the lack of progress in the negotiations of a ceasefire deal with Ukraine. As a result, he shortened the previously allotted 50-day period for Moscow to reach an agreement with Kyiv to just 10 to 12 days.
Additionally, the US president indicated that he is no longer interested in engaging in talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
