Blinken: US Senate to open Pandora's box if Ukraine refuses aid to Ukraine
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has expressed concerns about the lack of approval of the new aid package for Ukraine by the Congress Senate.
Blinken made the remarks at an event organised by the non-profit organisation US Global Leadership Coalition in Washington, Caliber.Az reports, citing the US State Department press service.
The US representative warned that this could lead to impunity for Russian President Vladimir Putin and open a "Pandora's box of aggression around the world".
The diplomat also emphasised that the approval of foreign aid by the Senate of Congress is of great importance not only for Ukraine but also for Israel. He believes that it is necessary to make sure that Israel will be able to prevent a repeat of the Hamas attack that took place on October 7.
Blinken concluded that those who oppose approval of an additional aid package are actually serving the interests of Beijing, Moscow and Tehran.
