Scale of Iran's attack on Israel shocks US
The scale of Iran's attacks on Israel has shocked the US officials, who could not guarantee complete security for Israel.
The senior representatives of the US administration said that the scale of the Iranian attack was a shock to those gathered in the White House “situation room” (a secure room for holding closed meetings) on April 13, TASS reports citing The Wall Street Journal.
“The Iranian strike turned out to be unexpected,” the official added.
According to the newspaper, no one in the world has “tried to intercept so many ballistic missiles at once” before. Washington stressed that the US and Israeli forces would be able to intercept 50 ballistic missiles, but the US could not guarantee the results when more than 100 missiles were launched simultaneously.
