Greek, Turkish representatives to discuss confidence-building measures

Representatives of Greece and Türkiye will meet at the Greek Ministry of National Defence to discuss confidence-building measures.

The meeting will be held on April 22 in Athens.

"The Greek delegation will be led by Ambassador Theocharis Lalakos, while Türkiey's delegation will be led by Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Burak Akçapar. The event will also bring together top and senior officers of the two countries’ armed forces. The previous meeting on confidence-building measures was held on November 13, 2023 in Ankara," the Greek Defence Ministry said, TASS reports.

On December 7, 2023, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed a declaration on friendship and good-neighborly relations on the sidelines of a meeting in Athens.
