Third meeting of judicial councils of Turkic states kicks off in Baku

The third meeting of the judicial councils of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) member countries, along with an international conference on “Global Challenges in the Field of Judicial Management,” kicked off in Baku on June 19. 

The conference marks the 20th anniversary of the Judicial-Legal Council of Azerbaijan, bringing together key figures from Azerbaijan’s legal and governmental sectors, including Fuad Alasgarov, Assistant to the President and Head of the Department for Work with Law Enforcement Agencies at the Presidential Administration; Inam Karimov, Chairman of the Supreme Court and the Judicial-Legal Council; and Gunduz Karimov, Head of the Department of Legislation and Legal Policy of the Presidential Administration, Caliber.Az reports via local media. 

Azerbaijan's Parliament Vice Speaker Ziyafat Asgarov; Judge of the Constitutional Court and former Chairman of the Judicial-Legal Council Fikrat Mammadov; Chairperson of the Supreme Court of Georgia Nino Kadagidze; Chairman of Türkiye’s Council of Judges and Prosecutors Fuzuli Aydogdu; Head of Albania’s Supreme Judicial Council Ilir Rusi; Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev; Minister of Internal Affairs Vilayat Eyvazov; and representatives of the legal community from various countries participate in the meeting.

The conference aims to foster dialogue and cooperation among judicial institutions, addressing shared challenges and promoting best practices in judicial management.
