Abducted New York girl found alive together with ransom-note leaving kidnapper
A 9-year-old girl who had gone missing during a family camping trip in upstate New York, was found "safe and in good health" after a massive two-day search by authorities with a suspect, believed to have abducted her, detained.
As reported by ABC News, Charlotte Sena disappeared while riding her bike in the evening hours of September 30 in a state park, a densely wooded area.
While the rest of Charlotte's family remained at the campground where she had gone missing, law enforcement officers were surveilling their home and noticed someone dropping a note in their mailbox early on October 2. State police retrieved fingerprints from the note, and the second fingerprint matched Ross, who was already in a database due to an earlier drunk driving case.
Authorities linked Ross to a property owned by his mother, gained entry, and found him in a camper, which led to the successful rescue of the girl and the apprehension of the suspect.
