About 350 rockets fired from Gaza Strip at Israel

During the first day of Operation Dawn, about 350 rockets were fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip in response to airstrikes.

According to the latest assessment of the Israel Defence Forces, Islamic Jihad terrorists have fired about 350 rockets since August 5, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to The Times of Israel.

Of these, 94 fell in the Gaza Strip and another 29 in the Mediterranean Sea, including two near Tel Aviv.

It is also reported that the Iron Dome air defence system intercepted 162 missiles. The military claims that it has demonstrated 95.9 per cent effectiveness in intercepting missiles fired at populated areas.
