Abu Dhabi: Air defence intercepts missile, debris damages Habshan gas facility

Authorities in the United Arab Emirates are responding to an incident involving falling debris at the Abu Dhabi-based Habshan gas facilities, following what officials described as a successful interception by air defence systems.

According to initial information, debris was reported after the interception, prompting emergency measures at the site, Abu Dhabi Media reports.

"Operations have been suspended while authorities respond to a fire. No injuries have been reported," the statement says.

Authorities have urged the public to rely exclusively on official communications and to avoid sharing unverified information.
