They also exchanged views on developments in Syria and other regional matters. Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed his country’s steadfast position in supporting “the independence and sovereignty of Syria across its entire territory.”

He expressed the UAE’s commitment to assisting the Syrian people and supporting all regional and international efforts to meet their aspirations for security, peace, stability, and dignity.

The UAE minister stressed the importance of providing the Syrian people with the necessary conditions for safety and stability to ensure a future marked by prosperity, progress, and development.

The meeting was attended by the UAE Minister of State for Defence Affairs Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, and Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar.
