Abu Dhabi to launch AI platform to assist judicial decision-making

The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department has announced the integration of what it describes as the world's first artificial intelligence platform designed to assist in judicial and legal decision-making.

Authorities expect the platform to improve procedural efficiency and enhance accuracy in judicial proceedings; however, the system will operate under human supervision, Caliber.Az reports, citing WAM.

The AI system is scheduled to begin operating in September, with phased implementation over the following 18 months.

UAE Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan said the launch of the platform demonstrates that "innovation is the path to more efficient and faster justice."
