ADEX and Caspian Securex 2024: Baku set to welcome 118 global defence players
The ADEX and Caspian Securex exhibitions, prominent events in the defence sector, are set to take place from September 24 to 26, 2024, at the Baku Expo Center.
This year, the exhibitions will showcase 118 companies from 37 countries, with 14 of those countries presenting their own pavilions for the first time, according to Samir Aghabalayev, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defence Industry of Azerbaijan.
Speaking at a recent press conference he announced that Italy, Slovakia, Qatar, and Hungary will debut their own pavilions at the event, Caliber.Az reports
“These exhibitions not only highlight Azerbaijan’s defence industry strength but also provide valuable networking opportunities for exhibitors,” Aghabalayev said. “This year’s events are more extensive than ever, featuring both indoor and open-air pavilions. Our locally developed weapons will be prominently displayed, and we expect to sign cooperation agreements with foreign manufacturers.”
ADEX will celebrate its 5th anniversary in 2024, marking a decade of showcasing military technology and defence advancements. Despite its relatively short history, ADEX has become a significant biennial event, attracting numerous companies and around 200 official delegations from over 50 countries, with over 30,000 visitors to date.
The exhibition remains a key platform for demonstrating Azerbaijan’s defence capabilities and fostering international defence industry partnerships.
