Afghanistan-Pakistan diplomatic talks set to begin in China on April 1

Negotiations to resolve the conflict between Afghanistan and Pakistan are scheduled to start on April 1 in China, TOLO News reports, citing sources.

The meeting will take place in Urumqi, the administrative centre of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Details on the composition of the negotiating teams have not yet been released.

To date, neither the Islamic Emirate nor the Pakistani government has issued any statement regarding the talks.

The discussions are scheduled amid a backdrop where earlier rounds in Türkiye and Saudi Arabia failed to produce any concrete outcomes.
