AI-generated materials found in former Philippine president’s ICC case file

Lawyers representing former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte have identified AI-generated materials, documents containing errors, and numerous duplicates in the International Criminal Court (ICC) case file concerning him, a diplomatic source said.

The source said the case file contained a large number of duplicate documents, records with incorrect dates, and unclear summaries that were generated using artificial intelligence, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

“In the case file, a large number of duplicate documents, documents with incorrect dates, as well as unclear summaries created by artificial intelligence were found,” the source said.

The lawyers have subsequently filed a motion seeking to reduce the number of materials included in the case, according to the source.
