Air alert shuts two Poland-Ukraine border crossings

Poland temporarily evacuated two border crossings with Ukraine in the Lublin Voivodeship on the morning of September 23 amid an aerial threat linked to Russia’s attack on Ukraine.

The Dorohusk and Zosyn checkpoints were evacuated after an air-raid alert was issued. Border processing was suspended for approximately 20 minutes, and personnel were moved to safety, Polskie Radio reports.

Operations at both crossings resumed after the alert was lifted.

Dariusz Sinecki, spokesperson for the Nadbużański Border Guard Unit in Poland, said all border crossings in the Lublin Voivodeship are now operating normally.
