Air China signs $9.5 billion deal to buy 60 Airbus A320neo aircraft

Chinese carrier Air China has announced an agreement to purchase 60 Airbus A320neo aircraft from the European aerospace manufacturer, with a total catalogue value of approximately $9.5 billion.

According to Air China’s press release, deliveries of the aircraft are expected to take place between 2028 and 2032.

Earlier on December 30, China Aircraft Leasing (CALC), a subsidiary registered in the British Virgin Islands, revealed plans to buy 30 A320neo aircraft from Airbus. In addition, Chinese carriers Spring Airlines and Juneyao Airlines announced plans to acquire 30 and 25 A320 aircraft, respectively.
