AirBaltic to resume direct flights between Riga, Baku

Latvian national airline airBaltic will resume direct flights between Riga and Baku on May 17, 2023.

Earlier this year, during his visit to Azerbaijan, Latvian President Egils Levits said that the Latvian air carrier was preparing to resume direct flights between the two cities, Trend reports per the Latvian Foreign Ministry.

“airBaltic, our national airline, plans to resume direct flights between Riga and Baku this May. Now it will be much easier for Latvian tourists to travel to Azerbaijan, and for Azerbaijani tourists to Latvia, including business trips,” Levits said.

On May 29, 2016, Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and Latvian airBaltic began operating joint flights on the Baku-Riga-Baku route.
