Airstrikes in southern Lebanon kill civilians and medical workers
Airstrikes in southern Lebanon have left dozens of people dead, including civilians and medical personnel, according to local authorities and media reports.
The Lebanese state news agency said that six people, including a child, were killed late Friday, March 13, after an airstrike hit a residential building in the southern city of Nabatieh.
According to ABC News, citing the Ministry of Public Health of Lebanon, another airstrike targeted an ambulance centre in the village of Souaneh, killing two medics and injuring five others.
The ministry also reported that at least 12 medical workers were killed in a separate strike on a medical centre in Borj Qalaouiyeh.
According to the Lebanese state news agency, the number of victims may rise as authorities continue searching for missing people following the strikes.
