Alemarah: Fighting resumes on Afghanistan-Pakistan border

On the evening of February 28, Afghan border units launched a new series of operations against Pakistani military forces, per the Afghan news portal Alemarah.

Abdullah Farouki, an official representative of the border police, said the attack was carried out in the area of the Torkham checkpoint in Nangarhar province.

As a result of the operation, four Pakistani soldiers were killed, and several enemy checkpoints were destroyed.

The state television channel RTA specified that additional reinforcements are being sent to the Torkham area to continue military actions.
