All Türkiye talks about that photo of Azerbaijani driver
A photo that has broken the record for sharing on social media has become a symbol of Turkish-Azerbaijani unity against the backdrop of huge deadly earthquakes that killed over 14,000.
As part of a relief campaign for Turkey by the people of Azerbaijan in addition to support by the country's rescue teams, the photo of an Azerbaijani driver carrying quilts in an old car on Baku's streets broke the share and likes record, TRT reports.
To recap, the first country to come to Türkiye’s aid, again, was friendly and brotherly Azerbaijan,
The owner of the vehicle, Sarvar Bashirli, and his helping brother Imamverdi Bashirli and Asgar Mammadov spoke to Azerbaijan's Public TV.
“We also experienced this disaster in the snow. There were women without clothes and shoes. We also experienced that period, we know that feeling. It was our best help in the disaster that befell brother Türkiye,” Sarvar Bashirli said.
He noted that “it was not only us, all Azerbaijanis, even Azerbaijanis living in other countries helped. I even witnessed something, a girl came there, took off her coat, delivered it there and left. Of course, the help is not big or small. In the coming days. They say they will send food aid to the brother country”.
