Amazon founder weds US journalist in luxurious Venice ceremony

Jeff Bezos, the American entrepreneur and founder of Amazon, has tied the knot with journalist Lauren Sanchez in a high-profile wedding held in Venice, Italy.

The celebrations, which took place from June 26 to 28, showcased an extravagant affair in the iconic city, Caliber.Az reports via Vogue magazine. 

The couple had already legally married in the United States prior to their Italian festivities. 

Lauren Sanchez has updated her Instagram profile to reflect her new married name, now going by Lauren Sanchez Bezos. Reports estimate the cost of the wedding to be between $47 million and $56 million, underscoring the luxurious scale of the event.
