Another airline suspends all flights to Lebanon
06 August 2024 15:23
Dutch airline Transavia has suspended all flights to Lebanon until the end of summer due to rising tensions in the Middle East.
On July 29, the carrier had already cancelled flights to Beirut until August 7, but there was still uncertainty about its future plans, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
"With this decision, we are bringing clarity and preventing last-minute flight cancellations," the airline said. Transavia is also going to avoid Lebanese airspace.
Transavia was the only airline flying to Beirut from the Dutch airport Schiphol. Flights usually operated four times a week.
