Another country revokes recognition of Kosovo's independence
Another country has withdrawn its previous recognition of the independence of Kosovo.
The statement came from First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Serbia Ivica Dačić in an interview with the Serbian Vecherne Novosti newspaper.
Belgrade does not advertise which countries have withdrawn the independence of the self-proclaimed republic. The decision was taken with the intention that the allies of these states would not put pressure on them, however, President Aleksandar Vučić did state previously that the list of those states would be published if Kosovo made further attempts to join international organizations as an independent state, as reported by TASS.
According to Dačić, the Serbian authorities are stepping up efforts to revoke the recognition of Kosovo in response to the violation by its "authorities" of the Washington agreements, according to which the unrecognized entity is not allowed to apply for membership in international organizations. The politician stressed that Belgrade, unlike Pristina, respects its obligations.
