Another unidentified drone disrupts flights at Romanian airport
Flight operations at Henri Coandă International Airport in Bucharest, Romania, were temporarily disrupted on September 28 after an unidentified drone was detected near a runway, prompting a security response and causing delays.
According to the Bucharest Airports National Company (CNAB), the appearance of a small civilian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) led air traffic controllers to alert the crew of a Turkish Airlines Airbus A330 that was approaching for landing, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
In response, authorities suspended flight arrivals for approximately 40 minutes as a precaution. Several aircraft were relocated to safe zones, while nine incoming flights were rerouted to an alternative runway.
This is the second drone-related incident near the airport this month. On September 19, a civilian UAV was reported approximately 4 kilometers from the airport, according to Radio Romania.
